All life emanates from water. It is part of our soul. It gives us comfort, nourishes us, and cleanses us. Water brings us into the world. The sound of rain drops comforts us, a waterfall can power a city and the ocean is home to millions of sea creatures. The question I asked myself was, where did water come from? That answer to most of us is unknown. 4.35 billion years ago the majority of water came to Earth in the form of meteorites. These meteorites contained amino acids which are the building blocks of life.
Water is a precious element on Earth and in our lives. It helps us and our environment in many different ways, and yet people are still taking this life source for granted. We pollute our oceans and water ways. We have taken this sacred component for granted. We treat it as if it is as accessible as the air we breathe or the food we eat.
The next time you drink a glass of water or turn on your faucet, cherish that luxury and honor it.
